It's been awhile since we've had a gold kid here at Pemberley, but I was planning on keeping a doe out of Tae-beau anyway...  Another Gaelic name, "Teàrlag" means "instigator" -- appropriate name for a goat, eh? -- and is pronounced "CHAR lak" ("Charlotte" is a derivative form.).

Charlotte -- her barn name -- is turning out beautifully.  She is long, deep, wide, dairy.  I am immensely pleased with her and can't wait to see her freshen.  We've retained her littermate brother, Tavish, as a herdsire.

Mariota has been featured on our sales page for some time, however, she's been turning out so nice that I've decided that I'm in no particular rush to see her go. She is long bodied and has a lovely dairy stretch about her.  She also has one of the highest, most open escutcheons out of the 2010 kid crop.

At the 2011 VA Heritage Goat Festival I put Mariota into the ring on a whim and she walked out with a junior leg!  I've decided to let her stay on to freshen here and let go of her dam.

Reba is an interesting agouti chamoisee with a white overcoat covering a gray undercoat.  Should be interesting to clip next year.  She is the result of an outcross between our own MCH Marta and Sagebrush who brings in some excellent Caesar's Villa lines.
